Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) group offerings are created to foster a supportive healing container that enhances KAP's benefits. The benefits of KAP can be augmented when provided in a group context, where there is a shared sense of connection, belonging, and healing with the support of others.
Group offerings are intended for those looking to explore KAP in a healing community to enhance connection and decrease isolation as a remedy for the loneliness many are experiencing now. This group is here to support the softening of our unconscious defense strategies and habituated fear patterns by engaging in this heart-opening and sacred work. The healing act of human connection helps us to move away from the isolation of I and into the support and belonging of the group as WE.
As we navigate our lives, it's powerful to connect with others who share parts of our human experiences. We strive to create collective spaces to explore the wonderful, weird, and difficult things about being us, in our own ways, in this particular place and time. TOGETHER.
What is the structure of KAP Group Therapy?
There are a maximum of 6 participants per group cohort session, starting with an individual psychiatric and medical evaluation for safety and eligibility for KAP. All sessions are held in person and facilitated by KAP-trained therapist JuliaChafets, LICSW, and KAP provider Katie Whitaker, PMHNP.
